Do not worry if your ATM card is damaged; here is how to order a new one online

If your ATM card is damaged or its chip and magnetic strip are malfunctioning, you can order a replacement through your bank's official website or mobile app. Indian banks offer both online and offline options for card replacement. Typically, the new card is delivered to your registered address within seven days of the request.

In today's digital era, having a functional ATM card is essential. If your card has been damaged, the chip is broken, or the magnetic strip is not working, there is no need to panic. Banks provide a very simple process for customers to obtain a new card.

To request a new card, you can use your bank's net banking service. You need to log in to the bank portal, navigate to the card services section, and select the replacement option. After filling in the required details, your request will be processed.

Alternatively, this process can also be completed through the bank's official mobile app. Within the debit card management section of the app, you can request a new card. This method is highly convenient for those who prefer to avoid visiting a bank branch.

If you are not comfortable with the online process, you can also visit your bank branch to apply. You will need to fill out a form, after which the bank will block your old card and initiate the issuance of a new one.

Banks have set specific charges for card replacement. These fees depend on the bank's policies and the type of account you hold. It is advisable to check your bank's rules before applying to ensure you have clear information regarding the charges.

Typically, after a successful application, the new ATM card is delivered to your registered address via post within seven days. Once you receive the card, you must generate a PIN to activate it, which can be done through an ATM or net banking.

According to NDTV India, this facility helps customers continue their banking services without any hassle. Replacing a damaged card in a timely manner is considered the best step for security purposes.
