The railway administration has adopted a strict stance against those causing unnecessary disruptions to train operations. During a recent special campaign conducted in the Agra railway division, passengers who pulled the train chain without any valid reason were identified. A total of 153 passengers were caught during this drive.

According to reports from Amar Ujala, the railway has collected a total fine of 11,285 rupees from these passengers. Under railway regulations, pulling the chain is a punishable offense, and it should only be utilized during genuine emergency situations.

It is often observed that passengers stop moving trains for personal convenience or other trivial reasons, which affects the entire rail system. This not only disrupts the punctuality of trains but also causes significant inconvenience to other travelers.

Railway officials have clarified that strict monitoring of such activities will continue in the future. They have warned passengers to refrain from the habit of pulling chains unnecessarily, or they may face legal action and financial penalties.

This campaign was conducted with the objective of raising awareness among passengers and making rail travel safer and more convenient. The railway believes that such strictness will reduce incidents of chain pulling and lead to smoother train operations.

Passengers have also been requested to immediately inform the Railway Protection Force or relevant authorities if they witness any suspicious activity or incidents of chain pulling.

This move by the railway administration is considered a significant effort toward maintaining safety standards and improving rail services.
