Amidst the active monsoon across the country, the weather department has issued a fresh alert. On August 10, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in 12 states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Delhi-NCR. According to the IMD, the intensification of the monsoon could impact daily life in these regions.

A specific warning has been issued for Jammu and Kashmir, where there is a risk of flash floods and landslides. The weather department has stated that the weather pattern will remain unstable until August 17, and local authorities have been instructed to remain vigilant.

Heavy rain alerts have also been issued for Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. In these hilly states, rainfall may trigger landslides, which could potentially affect traffic and normal life.

Due to the active monsoon, rivers in several states may swell. The flood situation in Assam remains critical, with reports indicating that over 100 lives have been lost so far.

The weather department has advised people to avoid unnecessary travel during adverse weather conditions. Tourists visiting hilly areas, in particular, have been urged to exercise caution.

The administration has intensified preparations to deal with potential disasters. NDRF and local disaster management teams are on alert mode to ensure swift action in case of any emergency.

The monsoon situation is being monitored continuously. According to the IMD, intermittent rain is expected to continue in several states over the next few days.

The public has been urged to keep track of the latest updates from the weather department and follow the guidelines issued by local authorities.
