Prayagraj: TGT-PGT candidates end 18-day hunger strike following assurance from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

Following an assurance from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the District Magistrate visited the site and ended the hunger strike by offering juice to the students. Intervening in the matter, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath provided an assurance to the students. Following this, the District Magistrate of Prayagraj arrived at the Directorate of Education. He met with the students on strike and ended their fast by offering them juice.
The primary argument of the candidates was that the examination process should follow the old rules rather than undergoing changes. The prolonged standoff had caused significant anxiety among the student community. After receiving positive signals from the Chief Minister's office, the students decided to call off their agitation.
Administrative officials stated that the students' demands are being considered seriously as per the Chief Minister's instructions. The conclusion of the hunger strike in the presence of the District Magistrate brought relief to the students. A large number of candidates had been gathering outside the Directorate for several days to support their cause.
