Indian boxers have made the nation proud with their powerful performance at the 2026 Asian Games. The athletes secured a flurry of medals, which has directly impacted the country's standing in international rankings. According to the latest data, India has achieved a remarkable jump of 43 places in the global boxing rankings.

The President of the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) expressed great joy over this historic achievement. He stated that this success did not happen overnight but is the result of ten years of hard work and well-planned efforts.

According to the BFI President, the Indian contingent adjusted its strategy compared to the previous Asian Games. Although there was a decrease of 20 gold medals compared to the 28 won in the previous edition, India secured a total of 21 gold medals, significantly strengthening its position.

This improvement in rankings is considered a milestone for Indian boxing. Sports experts believe that the success at the Asian Games will open new opportunities for Indian boxers in the future.

The BFI President praised the dedication of the athletes, stating that India will reach even greater heights in the sport in the coming years. He dedicated this achievement to sports enthusiasts across the country.

The current trajectory of Indian boxing clearly shows that the impact of grassroots improvements is now visible on the international stage.

Similar performances are expected from Indian boxers in upcoming international tournaments. This rise in rankings will not only boost the morale of the athletes but also attract young talent to the sport.
