Local authorities are monitoring the situation as residents face severe difficulties due to the waterlogging.

The rising water level of the Gomti River has created flood-like conditions in several parts of Lucknow. According to a report by Amar Ujala, the impact of the unexpected rise in the river's water level became quite severe by nightfall. The most significant impact has been observed in the areas surrounding Palassio Mall.

As per the report, both lanes of the main road in front of Palassio Mall have been completely submerged in water. The road now resembles a river, causing immense trouble for commuters and local residents trying to navigate the area.

Local residents reported that by 8 PM, the water level on the road had reached knee-deep. Due to the waterlogging, traffic has slowed down significantly, and there have been reports of vehicles getting stuck in various spots. The administration has increased vigilance in response to the situation.

For those living in areas along the banks of the Gomti River, this situation has become a matter of concern. The reasons behind the rise in water levels are being reviewed so that relief operations can be carried out swiftly in the affected areas.

Photographs shared by Amar Ujala clearly show the strong flow of water on the road and the entire area in front of the mall being submerged. The administration has advised people to avoid traveling through waterlogged zones.

Currently, relevant departments are on high alert, anticipating further rises in the river's water level. The situation is being monitored continuously to handle any potential emergencies.

Reports of waterlogging are also emerging from other low-lying areas of the city, causing widespread disruption to daily life. Administrative teams are working on drainage efforts to restore normalcy to the roads as quickly as possible.
