Hathras: Massive fire breaks out in a scrap ambulance parked at Sadabad Community Health Centre

A scrap ambulance parked at the Sadabad Community Health Centre in Hathras caught fire on Sunday evening. The blaze was so intense that smoke was visible from several kilometers away. Hospital fire extinguishers failed to function, forcing staff to use buckets of water to douse the flames. The fire brigade arrived at the scene half an hour after the incident was reported.

A concerning incident occurred in the Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday evening. A fire broke out in an old, discarded ambulance parked within the premises of the Sadabad Community Health Centre (CHC). The vehicle had been lying in the scrap yard for a significant period, and the sudden fire caused panic among those present at the facility.

According to reports from Amar Ujala, the flames were intense enough that thick black smoke could be seen rising into the sky from several kilometers away. The hospital administration was alerted immediately, leading to a chaotic situation on the premises. Staff members rushed to the scene to attempt to extinguish the fire.

It was reported that the fire extinguishers installed at the hospital for emergency situations failed to function during the crisis. Due to the failure of this equipment, the hospital staff faced significant difficulty in managing the situation. They resorted to using buckets filled with water to try and control the spreading flames.

Local residents and staff noted that while the fire department was notified, the fire tender arrived at the scene approximately half an hour after the incident began. By that time, the ambulance had sustained considerable damage from the fire.

This incident has raised questions regarding the safety protocols and the maintenance of fire-fighting equipment within the hospital premises. While the exact cause of the fire has not been officially confirmed, the incident has sparked concerns about safety standards in the area.

The hospital administration has not yet issued a detailed statement regarding the matter. Fortunately, there were no reports of any injuries or casualties resulting from the fire. Once the fire brigade arrived, they successfully extinguished the flames and brought the situation under control.
