Akhilesh Yadav targets BJP government, alleges corruption and kickbacks in construction projects
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has alleged corruption in the construction of Rajghat in Gorakhpur. He claimed that public funds were misused due to collusion between the Irrigation Department and BJP leaders.

Samajwadi Party President and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav, has launched a sharp attack on the state government. He has directly blamed kickbacks and corruption for the poor condition of construction work in the state.
Citing the Rajghat construction project in Gorakhpur, Akhilesh Yadav alleged that a significant portion of the crores of rupees allocated for this work was lost to corruption. He claimed that officials from the Irrigation Department, in collusion with BJP leaders, misused these public funds.
The former Chief Minister stated that the poor state of construction is solely due to the game of kickbacks. Questioning the government's functioning, he remarked that public money is being used for private interests rather than development.
Akhilesh Yadav stated in his remarks that the budget released for the construction of Rajghat was not utilized properly. He alleged that the state treasury was harmed due to the nexus between BJP leaders and departmental officials.
The SP chief has demanded an impartial investigation into the matter. He asserted that the irregularities occurring in construction projects reflect the failure of the government.
This is not the first time Akhilesh Yadav has leveled corruption allegations against the government, but by raising the issue of the Rajghat construction, he has attempted to corner the administration.
Currently, no official response has been issued by the government or the concerned department regarding these allegations. Discussions have intensified in political circles following this statement.
