Aligarh potatoes to gain global reach; direct exports to foreign markets via Jewar Airport

Aligarh's potatoes are set to gain a new identity on the global stage. According to reports from Amar Ujala, Aligarh's potatoes will be transported to foreign markets via the Jewar International Airport. This move is being viewed as a significant opportunity for the state's agricultural sector.

Under this plan, a separate building will be constructed at Jewar Airport. The primary objective of this facility will be to streamline the potato export process and ensure the certification of the products. This will make it easier for farmers to send their produce directly to international buyers.

The benefits of this initiative will not be limited to Aligarh alone. According to official information, a total of 17 districts in Uttar Pradesh will directly benefit from this export facility. This is expected to not only increase farmers' income but also provide state agricultural products with recognition that meets international standards.

Developing specialized infrastructure for exports at Jewar Airport will also resolve logistics issues. For perishable crops like potatoes, cold chain facilities and rapid transport are crucial, and this project aims to address those needs.
