A sense of panic has gripped the villagers in the Chhote Jawa area of Aligarh after a crocodile was spotted in a local pond. According to an Amar Ujala report, some villagers were heading towards their fields on Sunday afternoon when they saw the crocodile near the pond. As news of the sighting spread, it caused a stir in the surrounding villages.

The villagers immediately informed local authorities and the forest department. Upon receiving the information, a forest department team arrived at the scene and began efforts to capture or relocate the crocodile. However, as soon as the team arrived, the crocodile retreated into the deep water.

Forest department officials confirmed the presence of the crocodile in the pond. They have advised villagers not to go near the pond and to exercise caution. Surveillance has been increased in the area to prevent any untoward incident.

Villagers stated that people frequently pass by the pond, which has raised concerns about potential danger. Since the sighting, people are afraid to send their children near the pond. The forest department team is continuously monitoring the situation.

According to the forest department, a strategy is being prepared to capture the crocodile. Methods such as setting up nets around the pond or other safe techniques may be employed. Villagers have been urged not to panic and to follow the instructions of the forest department.

This area is surrounded by ponds and water bodies, which often leads to the possibility of wildlife sightings. The forest department has asked people to inform them immediately if they spot the crocodile again and not to take any risks themselves.

Currently, there is an atmosphere of fear among the villagers, and they are awaiting the next course of action from the forest department. The administration and the forest department are working together to find a solution to this problem to ensure the safety of the villagers.
