Aligarh: Pollution Control Board takes action against Mangalam and JK Cement for causing pollution

The Pollution Control Board has taken strict action against Mangalam and JK Cement companies in Aligarh for causing severe pollution near Harduaganj railway station. The companies were accused of dumping raw cement material, known as clinker, in the open, which led to significant environmental concerns and health issues for local residents.

In Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, the Pollution Control Board has initiated action against two major companies for violating environmental regulations. Mangalam and JK Cement, located near Harduaganj railway station, have been found guilty of causing pollution. Board officials have adopted a strict stance and launched an investigation against these firms.

According to local complaints, these companies were dumping clinker, the raw material used for manufacturing cement, in the open. This negligence resulted in large amounts of dust and pollution spreading across the surrounding areas, causing respiratory and other health-related problems for local residents.

Upon inspecting the site, the Pollution Control Board team confirmed that regulations were being ignored. The negligence in the storage and transportation of clinker in the open was proving harmful to the environment. Taking the matter seriously, the board has issued notices to the companies and initiated further legal proceedings.

Officials stated that it is mandatory for industrial units to adhere to environmental standards. No company will be permitted to compromise public health. The Pollution Control Board has clarified that if such negligence is found in the future, even stricter punitive measures will be taken against the companies.

Local residents have welcomed the board's action. They mentioned that they had been suffering from this pollution for a long time and had been demanding a solution from the administration. There is now hope that the negligence by these companies will be curbed and the air quality in the region will improve.

The Pollution Control Board is also investigating whether these companies possess the necessary equipment and systems for pollution control. The board has directed the companies to immediately stop dumping materials in the open and ensure compliance with environmental protection rules.

This case highlights the importance of environmental safety in industrial zones. The action taken by the Aligarh administration and the Pollution Control Board serves as a warning to other companies to take their environmental responsibilities seriously.
