Andhra Pradesh receives gift of 3 lakh permanent houses; Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chandrababu Naidu launch project
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu launched a project for 3 lakh permanent houses in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. The foundation stone for the country's first 3D concrete printing housing project was also laid. Shivraj Singh Chouhan assured full central support for the state's development and reiterated the government's commitment to the empowerment of women and farmers.

Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan presented a gift of 3 lakh permanent houses to Andhra Pradesh during a significant event held in Burripalem village of Guntur district. The project, costing 3,600 crore rupees, was launched in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Additionally, the foundation stone was laid for the country's first 3D concrete printing housing pilot project, which will cost 14 crore rupees.
During the event, the Union Minister stated that the partnership between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Naidu is working to make the state a leader in the country. He noted that while the initial quota was 76,000 houses, it was increased to 3 lakh following the Chief Minister's request. He also assured that after the completion of the first phase, the remaining 6 lakh houses would be approved to ensure every poor person in the state gets a permanent home.
Explaining the 3D concrete printing technology, the minister mentioned that this modern method would save both time and costs. Houses built using this technique will be stronger than traditional ones and will be ready in just six months. He described this as a major step towards a housing revolution in the country.
During the program, the Union Minister highlighted the central government's financial assistance for establishing Amaravati as the permanent capital and for the Polavaram project. He stated that the central government is committed to strengthening the state's infrastructure and connectivity. Furthermore, he praised the coordination between the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi and the state government's 'Annadata Sukhi Bhava' scheme for farmers.
Discussing self-help groups, he said the target of creating 'Lakhpati Didis' in the state would be increased to 60 lakh. He also announced that for the first time, the national 'Saras Mela' will be held in Andhra Pradesh on October 15, which will be inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his gratitude to Shivraj Singh Chouhan, referring to him as the 'Mama' of Andhra Pradesh. He stated that with the support of Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the state would reach new heights in agriculture, technology, and rural development. He expressed confidence that the central and state governments together would make Andhra Pradesh the number-1 state in the country.
