Tensions rise within NDA over reservation, Chirag Paswan demands resignation of Jitan Ram Manjhi and his son

Disagreements have surfaced within the NDA alliance regarding the issue of reservation. Lok Janshakti Party leader Chirag Paswan has demanded the resignation of Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi and his son, Santosh Suman. Paswan has also questioned the Congress party and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, asking why discrimination against Dalits persists despite their long tenure in power since independence.

Internal friction has intensified within the NDA alliance concerning the sensitive issue of reservation. Lok Janshakti Party chief Chirag Paswan has stirred political circles by demanding the resignation of Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi and his son, Santosh Suman. This demand has been raised in the context of alleged discrimination against Dalits.

Chirag Paswan has also targeted the Congress party and the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. He questioned why the Congress, which held power for a long period after the country's independence, has not been able to eliminate the persistent discrimination faced by the Dalit community.

Paswan believes that differing opinions within the NDA regarding reservation are raising questions about the unity of the alliance. By targeting the Manjhi family, he suggested that they should step down from their respective positions.

This development has sparked a new debate in both Bihar and national politics. The growing rift between NDA allies on the reservation issue could pose a significant challenge for the coalition in the near future.

While questioning Rahul Gandhi, Paswan stated that those who remained in power for decades must be held accountable for the current plight of Dalits. He alleged that past policies are responsible for the discrimination prevalent in society.

Currently, there has been no official response from the Manjhi family regarding this demand. Political analysts view this incident as a sign of increasing internal pressure within the NDA.

Chirag Paswan's stance on the reservation issue signals a new direction for Dalit politics within the NDA. It remains to be seen what steps other senior coalition leaders will take to resolve this dispute.
