Asaduddin Owaisi targets opposition over Muslim representation in Uttar Pradesh politics
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi alleged on Sunday that opposition parties are working to limit Muslim political participation in Uttar Pradesh. He specifically criticized the Samajwadi Party, claiming these parties oppose the community's empowerment. Owaisi asserted that opposition groups are actively trying to undermine his party to prevent Muslims from gaining a stronger political voice in the state.

AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi has launched a sharp attack on opposition parties regarding the political landscape of Uttar Pradesh. During an event on Sunday, he stated that opposition groups in the state, particularly the Samajwadi Party, do not want to see an increase in Muslim political participation. According to Owaisi, while these parties speak about the community's interests, they primarily aim to use Muslims merely as a vote bank.
In his address, Owaisi remarked that whenever Muslims demand their political rights and representation, it causes anxiety within the opposition camp. He alleged that the primary objective of these parties is to prevent the community from progressing in mainstream politics. He argued that instead of empowering the community, these parties are following a policy of keeping them on the margins.
The AIMIM leader claimed that his party is fighting for the political rights of Muslims in Uttar Pradesh. He stated that this is the reason why opposition parties are targeting him and employing various tactics to weaken his organization. Owaisi emphasized that the community must now recognize its own political strength and raise its voice for its rights independently.
Naming the Samajwadi Party, he said that the party comes to power with the support of Muslims but fails to take concrete steps to increase their political representation. Owaisi's remarks are considered significant amidst the shifting political equations in the state.
Owaisi clarified that his party's goal is to provide Muslims in Uttar Pradesh with an independent political identity. He stated that as long as the community does not define its own politics, other parties will continue to exploit them. He urged people to identify the forces working against their political empowerment.
According to the report by Amar Ujala Network, this statement by Owaisi could further intensify the competition for the Muslim vote bank in state politics. He noted that his party is ready to work for every section of the state, but the neglect of Muslims will not be tolerated.
Finally, Owaisi declared that his party's struggle will continue and they will keep raising demands for justice and representation for Muslims in Uttar Pradesh. He called upon his supporters to unite and demonstrate their political strength to ensure their participation in the state's governance.
