Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission certificates now available on DigiLocker for online verification

Youth trained under the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission will no longer rely on physical documents for their skill certificates. The state government has decided to host these certificates on DigiLocker, enabling seamless online verification for all beneficiaries.

According to reports from Amar Ujala Network, a significant update has been introduced for trainees associated with the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission. Youth will no longer need to worry about managing physical copies of their skill certificates, as the government has provided a facility to store these documents in a digital format.

Under this new arrangement, all certificates will now be accessible via the DigiLocker platform. This initiative is seen as a major step toward empowering youth and simplifying administrative procedures. Having documents on DigiLocker ensures that students can access their credentials anytime and from anywhere.

Furthermore, the verification process for these certificates has been moved entirely online. The lengthy procedures previously required for verification can now be completed in moments through digital channels. This change not only saves time but also eliminates concerns regarding the loss or damage of physical documents.

This initiative was launched with the objective of promoting skill development across the state. In line with the Digital India campaign, this move will help make government services more transparent and accessible. Youth will no longer need to visit government offices to obtain or verify documents essential for their careers.

This is a significant relief for trainees, as a digital copy of their certificate will now suffice as proof of their skills. The system is not only modern but also environmentally friendly, as it reduces the reliance on paper documentation.

Officials believe that this transition will bring greater transparency to the operations of the Skill Development Mission. The online verification facility will also curb the possibility of fraud, as every certificate will be directly linked to the official government database.

In the future, similar digital facilities may be implemented across other government schemes. For now, youth trained under the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission have begun to benefit from this new digital convenience.
