A major case of recruitment fraud has surfaced in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. In the Wazirganj police station area, con artists targeted seven individuals by promising them employment under the transport department's DL project. The victims were collectively defrauded of 23 lakh rupees.

The victims stated that they were given firm assurances of permanent jobs, in exchange for which they paid significant sums of money. Although they were initially given work, they were dismissed without any valid reason within just two months of joining.

Following this incident, the victims decided to pursue legal action. On August 31, they filed complaints at the Wazirganj police station. The police have registered separate FIRs against a total of ten suspects involved in the scheme.

According to the police, an investigation has been initiated given the serious nature of the allegations. The perpetrators had used the name of the transport department to gain the trust of the job seekers. Officers are now actively searching for all individuals involved in this fraudulent operation.
