Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan Releases Book Documenting RSS Century of Service

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan released the book 'A Century of Service – The RSS in 100 Acts of Seva' during a special event held at Uprashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. The book is authored by Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, the former Governor of Telangana and former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry.

Addressing the gathering, the Vice President stated that the work documents the hundred years of service, social responsibility, and the significant contribution of the RSS toward nation-building. He emphasized the importance of recording good deeds, noting that without such documentation, these efforts might fade from public memory over time.

Shri Radhakrishnan highlighted the ideal that 'service is duty,' noting that RSS initiatives have reached the poor, marginalized, and various sections of society, including laborers, women, and children. He specifically recalled the role of volunteers in providing food, medicine, and essential aid during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Discussing the book's theme of 'nation-building through character-building,' the Vice President remarked that patriotism, discipline, social responsibility, and national unity are essential for the country's progress. He expressed confidence that the book would serve as a vital document for future generations to understand India's tradition of service and national consciousness.

The Vice President congratulated Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan and all those associated with the publication. He expressed hope that more such efforts to record history would continue in the future.

The launch ceremony was attended by Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. L. Murugan, and Puducherry Home Minister Shri A. Namassivayam. The author, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, was also present at the occasion.
