Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan served as the chief guest at the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RSET) in Kochi. During the event, he officially inaugurated 'Confluence 3.0', an industry-academia summit themed around the impact of artificial intelligence in India. He commended the institution for its 25-year journey and its commitment to maintaining technical excellence.

In his address, the Vice President expressed concern over the evolving nature of education, noting that the current system often fails to produce human resources aligned with market demands. He called for a shift toward research, innovation, and problem-solving in higher education. He emphasized that a robust partnership between academia and industry is essential to establish India as a global technology hub.

Regarding Kerala, he suggested that given the state's limited land availability, it should prioritize high-tech and knowledge-based industries over traditional manufacturing. He expressed confidence that the state's talented human capital could attract investment in these sectors, creating local employment opportunities and reducing migration.

Addressing the students, the Vice President warned against the dangers of substance abuse, urging them to remain dedicated to their dreams and aspirations. He remarked that fleeting pleasures can destroy significant life goals. He encouraged the youth to utilize their potential for the betterment of society and humanity.

During the event, the Vice President also laid the foundation stone for the new administrative building of the Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology. He recalled the legacy of Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, highlighting his contributions to the democratization of education and the promotion of female literacy.

The ceremony was attended by Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan, Union Minister of State Suresh Goopi, and State Higher Education Minister R. Bindu, among other dignitaries.
