Kanpur: Retired Doctor Swindled of Rs 27 Lakh Under Pretext of Land Sale; Case Registered

A serious case of fraud has come to light within the Barra police station area of Kanpur. Dr. Rajesh Singh, a retired doctor residing in Hardev Nagar, has accused an acquaintance of swindling him out of lakhs of rupees under the pretext of a land deal. This incident has caused a stir in the locality.

According to the victimized doctor, the accused, Nandkishore Yadav, had proposed a land sale to him. In exchange for this deal, the doctor paid a total of Rs 27 lakh to the accused. However, even after a significant amount of time had passed, the doctor neither received ownership of the land nor were his funds returned.

Dr. Rajesh Singh stated that he repeatedly asked the accused to return his money, but he only received assurances in return. Upon realizing that he had been defrauded, he decided to approach the police.

Based on the doctor's complaint, the police have registered an FIR. Officials stated that given the gravity of the matter, an investigation has been initiated. The police are now searching for the accused, Nandkishore Yadav, and all documents related to the case are being scrutinized.
