Kanpur: Police Register FIR Against Stepmother and Brothers for Alleged Land Grabbing

A land-grabbing case has surfaced in the Naubasta area of Kanpur. E-rickshaw driver Ramdas filed a complaint with the police alleging that his father Beni Prasad's second wife, Devarti, and her children have seized their property. Taking the matter seriously, the police have registered an FIR and initiated an investigation into the allegations.

A property dispute has come to light in Khargapur village, located in the Naubasta area of Kanpur. According to a complaint filed with the local police, an e-rickshaw driver has accused members of his own family of forcibly seizing land.

The complainant, Ramdas, informed the police that his father, Beni Prasad, had entered into a second marriage with a woman named Devarti. From this marriage, they have two sons, Rajendra and Surendra, and a daughter. According to Ramdas, Devarti currently resides with her family in the Dehli Sujanpur area.

Ramdas alleges that his stepmother and his step-siblings have collectively taken illegal possession of his ancestral land. In the information provided to the police, he clarified that the property belongs to his father, over which the other party has now established control.

Following the receipt of the complaint, the police have registered an FIR. Officials stated that the matter is being investigated from all angles. The statements of the aggrieved party have been recorded, and further action will be taken based on the evidence gathered.

Since the incident, there has been significant discussion at the local level. Disputes related to land often become a source of family discord, and this case appears to be another such example.

Police have assured that a fair investigation will be conducted in accordance with the law. Strict legal action will be taken against whoever is found guilty.

Currently, the police are preparing to question other individuals involved in the matter. The investigation process is ongoing, and the situation is expected to be fully clarified soon.
