Kanpur: Bike Rider Killed in Tragic Accident After Being Hit by Speeding Truck in Bilhaur

A tragic road accident was reported on Sunday evening in the Bilhaur police station area of Kanpur district. Near Kutra village on the GT Road, a speeding truck hit a bike rider. The collision was so severe that the young man died on the spot.

According to local residents, the young man was riding his bike when a truck coming from behind hit him with great force. After the impact, the victim fell onto the road and sustained fatal injuries. Nearby people immediately called for help, but it was already too late.

After causing the accident, the truck driver did not bother to stop. He fled the scene, driving the truck at high speed. Upon receiving information about the incident, local police and administrative officials reached the spot. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for a post-mortem examination.

An FIR has been registered against the unidentified truck driver, and the police have initiated a search operation. Footage from CCTV cameras installed near the incident site is being examined to identify the truck.

There is an atmosphere of grief in the area following this accident. Eyewitnesses stated that the high speed of vehicles on the road is often the cause of such mishaps. Local residents have demanded that the administration tighten security measures on this route.
