According to an Amar Ujala report, tight security arrangements were in place during the immersion process.

Thursday in Kanpur was dedicated to the immersion of Lord Ganesha. The chants of 'Ganpati Bappa Morya' echoed throughout the city as devotees took to the streets with great devotion to bid farewell to their deity. The enthusiasm of the devotees, dancing and singing to the beats of drums and DJs, was a sight to behold.

The atmosphere in the city turned devotional during the immersion processions. People moved from their homes and pandals towards the immersion sites with Ganesha idols. During this time, the administration remained fully alert regarding security arrangements, and police forces were deployed in sensitive areas.

With the aim of protecting the environment, the administration had arranged for artificial ponds this year as well. Devotees immersed the Ganesha idols in these ponds with due rituals. This initiative was taken to prevent the pollution of rivers.

According to a report by Amar Ujala, devotees followed all protocols during the immersion. The idols were immersed according to the rules set by the administration to ensure there was no disorder.

Many devotees had teary eyes at the time of immersion. They bid farewell to Bappa with the hope of his return next year. Special arrangements were also made to maintain smooth traffic flow due to the immersion processions emerging from various parts of the city.

The municipal corporation and police administration had made extensive preparations in advance to ensure the immersion process was completed peacefully. There were solid arrangements for cleanliness and security at the ghats and artificial ponds.

With the conclusion of the Ganesh festival, a major religious event in the city ended peacefully. The administration has expressed gratitude to the city residents for their cooperation.
