Misbehavior with police in Kanpur: Head Constable's uniform torn, case registered and investigation underway

A youth attacked police personnel who arrived to resolve a dispute in Kanpur's Rawatpur area. Head Constable Devendra Sharma of the UP 112 PRV team was assaulted and his uniform was torn. According to Amar Ujala, the police have taken the incident seriously, registered an FIR against the accused, and are currently investigating the matter.

Police personnel deployed to maintain law and order in the Rawatpur area of Kanpur faced an unpleasant situation. Last Thursday, the police received information about a dispute, following which a UP 112 PRV team reached the spot. Head Constable Devendra Sharma was part of this team.

According to the report by Amar Ujala, when the police personnel were trying to resolve the dispute, a youth present there suddenly turned aggressive. The youth not only misbehaved with Head Constable Devendra Sharma but also slapped him.

The situation escalated further when the accused tore the Head Constable's uniform. This incident shocked the people present at the scene. The department has taken this act of violence against police personnel very seriously.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the local police immediately initiated action. An FIR has been registered against the accused youth under relevant sections. The police stated that strict legal action will be taken for obstructing government work and attacking uniformed personnel.

Currently, the police are conducting a detailed investigation into the matter. The police team is gathering evidence regarding the reasons behind the incident and the identity of the accused. Discussions regarding security arrangements in the Rawatpur area have intensified following this event.

Officials have clarified that such behavior towards police personnel on duty will not be tolerated. The police department has assured that the individual who took the law into their own hands will not be spared and will be arrested soon.
