A case of fraud has emerged in Kanpur's Bidhnu area where a man allegedly swindled 5.56 lakh rupees from a youth's father by promising a job in the BSF. Police arrested the accused, Dharmendra Singh Chandel, also known as Bhura or Niranjan Singh, on Sunday. Authorities are currently conducting further investigations into the matter.

A serious case of job-related fraud has come to light in the Bidhnu area of Kanpur. On Sunday, police arrested an individual accused of extorting lakhs of rupees from a family by promising to secure a position in the Border Security Force (BSF). The accused has been identified as Dharmendra Singh Chandel, who is also known by the aliases Bhura and Niranjan Singh.

According to the information received, the accused had convinced a youth's father that he could facilitate his son's recruitment into the BSF. In exchange for this service, he took a substantial sum of 5.56 lakh rupees from the victim. When the job did not materialize after a significant period, the victim realized he had been defrauded.

The victim's family filed a complaint with the Bidhnu police regarding the incident. Upon receiving the complaint, the police took the matter seriously, initiated an investigation, and began searching for the suspect. On Sunday, the police successfully apprehended the wanted individual.

According to the police, the accused had been involved in such activities for a long time, targeting people by offering them government jobs. Currently, the police are interrogating the accused to uncover other aspects of this fraud.

This incident has become a topic of discussion in the area. The police have appealed to the public not to give large sums of money to unknown individuals under the guise of job offers and to rely only on official channels for government recruitment processes.

Following the arrest, the police have prepared to present the accused before the relevant court for further legal proceedings. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are also gathering information regarding other potential victims.
