Husband arrested after married woman's death in Kanpur; case registered against five in-laws

A case has emerged in Kanpur's Barra area where a married woman died by hanging herself. Based on a complaint filed by the deceased's mother, the police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against five people, including the husband, mother-in-law, and father-in-law. The accused husband, Dharmendra Mishra alias Sunny, has been arrested and sent to jail. The investigation is ongoing.

A tragic incident occurred in the Barra police station area of Kanpur on Saturday, where a married woman died. The woman allegedly ended her life by hanging. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it for a post-mortem examination.

The mother of the deceased has leveled serious allegations against the in-laws. Based on the mother's complaint, the police have registered an FIR against a total of five people, including the husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and others. A case has been registered against them for abetment to suicide and other relevant sections.

Taking swift action, the police arrested the deceased's husband, Dharmendra Mishra, also known as Sunny. After interrogation, he was sent to jail. The police are also investigating the roles of the other accused, and further action will be taken soon.

According to local residents, there were frequent disputes within the family. The police are now looking into whether these disputes were the reason behind the woman's extreme step. Given the sensitivity of the case, the police are examining every aspect in detail.

The relatives of the deceased allege that the woman was being harassed by her in-laws. The police have included these allegations in the investigation. A forensic team has also collected evidence from the scene to clearly determine the cause of death.

The Barra police stated that strict legal action will be taken against whoever is found guilty in the case. Currently, the police are searching for the other named accused.
