MP Ramesh Awasthi issues warning in Kanpur, mandates road repairs before Navratri

Kanpur MP Ramesh Awasthi has expressed strong dissatisfaction over the poor condition of roads and issued strict instructions to PWD officials. He warned that if the repair work is not completed by Navratri, disciplinary action will be taken against the responsible officers.

Kanpur MP Ramesh Awasthi has taken a firm stance against PWD officials regarding the dilapidated state of roads in the city. During an inspection of the route from Chunniganj to Kidwainagar on Monday, he expressed deep concern over the poor condition of the infrastructure and reprimanded the officials involved.

The MP explicitly stated that the road repair work must be completed at any cost before the commencement of Navratri. He warned that if the roads are not restored within the stipulated timeframe, the responsible officials will face consequences and strict disciplinary action will be initiated against them.

This inspection was conducted in light of the difficulties being faced by the general public in the area. The MP emphasized that negligence in providing public amenities will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He directed the officials to improve their work efficiency to ensure that citizens do not face any inconvenience during their commute.

According to reports from Amar Ujala, this move by the MP is being viewed as a strict step towards improving the city's infrastructure. He has instructed the responsible PWD officials to fulfill their duties with complete integrity.

Local residents had been struggling with the issue of damaged roads for a long time, which prompted the MP to visit the site personally to assess the situation. It remains to be seen how promptly the administration acts to revamp the roads following this warning.

The MP also indicated that he would continue to monitor the quality of development projects in the future. He clarified that ensuring the proper utilization of public funds remains one of his top priorities.

Finally, he reiterated that during the festival of Navratri, devotees and the general public should not face any trouble due to the poor condition of the roads.
