Kanpur: Thieves target retired bank employee's home, police analyze 211 CCTV cameras for leads

A major theft occurred at the home of a retired bank employee in Satyam Vihar, Kalyanpur, Kanpur, where thieves stole jewelry and cash worth approximately five lakhs. A significant theft incident has taken place in the Satyam Vihar area of Kalyanpur, Kanpur. Targeting the home of a retired bank employee, thieves made off with valuables and cash worth lakhs. According to a report by Amar Ujala, jewelry and cash totaling approximately five lakh rupees were stolen in this incident.

Following the report of the theft, police and Crime Branch teams have become active. During the investigation, it was revealed that after committing the crime, the suspects did not flee together but escaped via different routes. This strategy appears to have been adopted to mislead the police.

To identify the suspects, the police have launched a major operation. Footage from approximately 211 CCTV cameras has been brought under the scope of the investigation. Through these cameras, the police are attempting to confirm the escape routes and identities of the thieves.

According to the victim's family, the jewelry and cash kept in the house were missing. The residents were shocked upon discovering the theft. The police arrived at the scene and collected forensic evidence to assist in tracking down the perpetrators.
