Is the rising influence of Vaibhav Suryavanshi becoming a major challenge for Sanju Samson? Former cricketer reacts

Sanju Samson's performance in the recently concluded first T20 match against the West Indies was disappointing, as he was dismissed after scoring only 11 runs. Since this innings, Samson has once again become the center of criticism from cricket experts and fans alike. Discussions regarding his inconsistent form are intensifying, with several former players sharing their perspectives on the matter.

Former Indian cricketer Hanuma Vihari has made a significant claim regarding this situation. Vihari believes that the pressure from emerging young players like Vaibhav Suryavanshi is clearly impacting Sanju Samson's performance. He argues that the increasing competition from young talent vying for a spot in the team is creating mental pressure for experienced players like Samson.

Sanju Samson is regarded as a talented player in the Indian team, but a lack of consistency has consistently been a problem for him. According to Hanuma Vihari, when young players perform well, the pressure on senior players to secure their positions increases. This pressure appears to be reflected in Samson's recent gameplay.

The excellent form of young players like Vaibhav Suryavanshi is promising for the future of Indian cricket, but it also serves as a warning for several players in the current squad. Samson now needs to work harder on his technique and mental fortitude to cope with this competition.

A debate has erupted in the cricket world over whether Samson needs more opportunities to cement his place or if it is time for a change. Hanuma Vihari's statement has further fueled speculation that selectors might now prioritize younger players.

The upcoming matches will be crucial for Sanju Samson. If he fails to improve his form, the team management may not hesitate to drop him from the squad. The rise of players like Vaibhav Suryavanshi serves as a warning to Samson that he must elevate his game to the next level.

Ultimately, this competition is what strengthens Indian cricket. However, on an individual level, this is a highly challenging time for Samson. He will need to deliver a strong performance on the field to prove his critics wrong. Cricket fans are now looking forward to the next matches to see if Samson can regain his lost rhythm.
