VIMARSHNAARAD TVThe administration has taken a significant decision to facilitate easier movement for residents in the Manikpur area of Chitrakoot district. According to a report by Amar Ujala, a permanent bridge will now be constructed at the causeway near Gopipurwa at a cost of 1.5 crore rupees.
Due to recent heavy rainfall, water had begun flowing over this causeway, completely halting the movement of local residents. In response to this recurring issue, the district administration has approved the plan for the bridge construction.
On Wednesday, District Magistrate Pulkit Garg and Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Singh jointly visited the site. They conducted a detailed inspection of the current condition of the causeway and provided necessary instructions regarding the upcoming construction work.
Officials also interacted with the villagers present at the site and listened to their concerns. The construction of the bridge will provide major relief to the residents of the Manikpur area, who often face the problem of severed connectivity during the rainy season.
The administration believes that the construction of this bridge will not only make transportation smoother but also ensure easier access for emergency services. The budget for the bridge construction has been allocated, and work is expected to commence shortly.
Local residents have welcomed this move by the administration. There had been a long-standing demand for a bridge in this area to ensure connectivity remains intact even during the monsoon. The District Magistrate has instructed the concerned officials to pay special attention to the quality and timeline of the construction work.
This effort by the Chitrakoot administration is a significant step towards strengthening infrastructure in rural areas. Once the bridge construction is completed, the people of the region will be able to find a permanent solution to the problems caused by waterlogging.
