E-rickshaw and jeep collide head-on in Chitrakoot, driver critically injured

A road accident has been reported in Chitrakoot district, involving a head-on collision between an e-rickshaw and a jeep. The incident took place near a power substation, causing significant disruption in the area. The impact of the collision was severe, resulting in critical injuries to the e-rickshaw driver.

Upon receiving information about the incident, local police arrived at the scene. Officers immediately arranged for the injured driver to be transported to the nearby Community Health Centre (CHC) via ambulance. After receiving initial medical attention, the doctors referred him to Prayagraj for specialized treatment due to the severity of his condition.

According to eyewitnesses, both vehicles were traveling at high speeds and collided suddenly near the power substation. The driver had no opportunity to react before the vehicles struck each other. Following the accident, the jeep driver remained at the scene to assess the situation.

Police cleared the damaged vehicles from the road to restore traffic flow. An investigation is currently underway to clarify the circumstances under which the collision occurred. Authorities have also begun questioning the jeep driver.
