The Indian delegation includes several prominent members of both houses of Parliament, such as Anurag Singh Thakur, Aparajita Sarangi, Dr. Sasmit Patra, Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Dr. Lata Wankhede, Bijuli Kalita Medhi, and N. K. Premachandran. They will represent India across various panels and workshops.
During the assembly, Harivansh is set to participate in Governing Council meetings, general debates, and dialogue sessions with candidates for the IPU presidency. The delegation intends to articulate India's perspective on issues of contemporary global relevance and strengthen parliamentary diplomacy.
Members of the delegation will engage in discussions on democracy, human rights, peace, and international security. Furthermore, topics such as sustainable development, women's participation, science and technology, counter-terrorism, and health will be addressed.
Reflecting on modern challenges, the Indian lawmakers will also contribute to dialogues on mental health, critical minerals, artificial intelligence, and the future of work. Maritime security, climate change, and the conservation of mountain and ocean ecosystems are also on the agenda.
