Additionally, heavy rainfall has been reported in the Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Residents of Delhi-NCR faced a sudden change in weather on Thursday morning. Rain began early in the morning in several areas of Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad, leading to a drop in temperature. In view of this change, the Meteorological Department has advised residents to remain alert.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for the capital. According to the department, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds in the coming hours. Residents have been advised to stay in safe places and keep an eye on weather updates.

It is not just Delhi-NCR; the weather has changed in other parts of North India as well. Reports of heavy rainfall have emerged from the Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir. The local administration there has also issued instructions to exercise caution in light of the weather conditions.

According to the IMD forecast, rain is occurring in these regions due to the activation of a western disturbance. This change has brought relief from humid heat, but there is also a possibility of impact on traffic and normal life due to the rain.

The Meteorological Department has advised people not to stand under trees or in open fields during thunderstorms. Staying inside concrete houses is safer to avoid incidents of lightning strikes.

According to an NDTV India report, clouds have been hovering over several parts of Delhi since the morning, and intermittent rain continues. The Meteorological Department team is continuously monitoring the situation and issuing updates periodically.

There is a possibility that the weather will remain similar in the coming days. The administration has completed its preparations to deal with any emergency situation.
