Extortion in the name of returning mobile in Budaun: Case registered against three including police station computer operator

The victim had approached the police station after losing his mobile phone. It is alleged that the computer operator misused his position to leak confidential information and demanded four thousand rupees from the victim. The phone was returned only after the money was paid.

Following the incident, the victim complained to senior officials. The complaint stated that the computer operator not only shared sensitive information but also played an active role in the extortion. The involvement of two other individuals has also been identified in this matter.
