Red alert in Bareilly division due to torrential rain, heavy crop damage and waterlogging affecting daily life

Continuous rainfall since Friday has disrupted daily life across the Bareilly division in Uttar Pradesh. Authorities have issued a red alert for the region. After more than 20 hours of persistent downpour, low-lying urban areas are submerged, while standing paddy crops in the fields have suffered significant damage due to strong winds and heavy rain.

Torrential rain over the past several hours has created a critical situation across the Bareilly division of Uttar Pradesh. According to reports from Amar Ujala, the rainfall that began on Friday has not ceased even after 20 hours. A red alert has been declared across the entire division due to this persistent downpour.

Waterlogging in low-lying urban areas has caused significant difficulties for the general public. Traffic has been disrupted due to water accumulation on the roads. The local administration is monitoring the situation closely, and preparations for relief operations are underway.

The agricultural sector has been severely impacted by this weather. Standing paddy crops have been flattened in the fields due to strong winds and continuous rain. Farmers fear substantial financial losses, as the damage to the crops is expected to negatively affect both quality and yield.

Following warnings from the meteorological department, the administration has advised residents to remain vigilant. People living in low-lying areas have been urged to move to safer locations. Municipal corporations and relevant departments have become active in efforts to drain water from affected areas.

This relentless rain has brought daily life to a standstill. Residents are forced to stay indoors, and even venturing out for essential tasks has become difficult. The impact of the rain is also visible on power supply and communication networks.

Officials from the agriculture department are beginning the process of assessing the damage in the fields. Farmers' concerns have intensified as the paddy crop was nearing harvest. The administration has assured affected farmers of all possible assistance.

In view of the weather forecast, the administration has also issued instructions for all schools and educational institutions to remain alert. People have been urged to exercise caution until the situation returns to normal.
