Cattle Recovered from Haji Shakeel's Dairy in Bareilly; Police Investigate After Vigilante Protest
Forty cattle were recovered from trucks being loaded at Haji Shakeel's dairy in Bareilly. Among them, 20 bovines were found with their mouths and legs tied. According to news agency reports, cow vigilantes reached the spot, created a ruckus, and stopped the trucks. Upon receiving the information, the police immediately arrived at the scene.
During the inspection, police recovered a total of 40 cattle from two trucks. Among these, 20 were bovines that had been packed into the trucks in a cruel manner. The animals' mouths and legs were tied, leaving them in a pathetic condition.
Cow vigilantes have accused the dairy operator of illegal cattle transportation. Following the protest, the police have accepted a formal complaint regarding the matter. Officials stated that the recovered cattle are being moved to a safe location and a thorough investigation is underway.
