Banda: Woman raped after being offered a lift; FIR registered against two following complaint

A case of brutality against a woman has come to light in the Mataundh police station area of Banda district. A woman, a resident of Mahoba, has leveled serious allegations in her complaint to the police. She stated that she earns her living by running a small tea shop on the Mahoba Road.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of September 12. The woman explained that she had stepped out to get her gas cylinder refilled. During this time, some individuals offered her a lift and persuaded her to get into their vehicle. The woman alleges that the two men inside the vehicle forced her to consume alcohol.

In her complaint, the woman stated that after she was intoxicated, the accused sexually assaulted her. Following the incident, the woman reached the Mataundh police station to report the crime and seek justice.

Taking the woman's complaint seriously, the police have registered an FIR against two unidentified individuals. The Mataundh police stated that a thorough investigation is underway and efforts are being made to identify the accused.
