Brutal murder of trader in Baghpat; couple attacks victim with hammer and knife over illicit affair

A shocking incident has emerged from Baraut in Baghpat district, where an electronics trader was brutally murdered. The victim, identified as Deependra, operated a shop in the area. This incident has caused widespread panic throughout the region.

Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Rai provided details about the incident, identifying the accused as Rahul and his wife, Sonia. Rahul runs a tea stall in the same locality. Preliminary investigations suggest that the couple attacked Deependra using a hammer and a knife.

According to the police, the motive behind this heinous crime is related to an illicit affair. Sonia previously had a relationship with Deependra, but she had stopped communicating with him recently. This resentment, coupled with a dispute over the creation of obscene videos, led the couple to commit this horrific act.

The accused had planned the attack on Deependra meticulously. Police reported that the victim was struck 15 times, resulting in his death on the spot. The violence of the attack left local residents in a state of shock.

Upon receiving information about the incident, local police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it for a post-mortem examination. The couple has been taken into custody, and they are currently being interrogated.

Officials stated that every aspect of the case is being investigated thoroughly. Evidence is being collected to ensure a strong case is presented in court.
