Bijnor: Laborer Faces Land Seizure After Repaying 38,000 on a 13,000 Loan

VIMARSHNAARAD TVA case of exploitation of a poor laborer has emerged in Puranpur Syana village of Bijnor district. A laborer named Rajveer Singh had borrowed 13,000 rupees from a man named Jogendra Singh for his child's medical treatment. According to an Amar Ujala report, Rajveer has already repaid 38,000 rupees, but the moneylender claims that a balance of one lakh rupees is still outstanding.
The victim alleges that under the pretext of the unpaid loan, the moneylender has forcibly seized his half-bigha of land. Furthermore, the moneylender has reportedly planted his own crops on the seized land. This incident has become a topic of discussion in the area, with locals expressing shock at the moneylender's high-handedness.
Sharing his plight, Rajveer Singh stated that he was forced to take the loan due to his child's illness. He alleges that the moneylender has tried to seize his land through intimidation. The laborer has pleaded for justice so that he can reclaim his property.
Following the complaint, the police have initiated action in this matter. Police officials stated that an investigation is underway and appropriate legal steps will be taken based on the facts. Currently, the police have registered a report.
