Mahoba: Three children tragically drown while bathing in a pit behind a model school

A tragic incident occurred in Mahoba district, Uttar Pradesh, where three children lost their lives after drowning in a water-filled pit. The incident took place near a model school in Rivai village under the Charkhari police station area. Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene, recovered the bodies, and transported them to the Charkhari Community Health Center for further procedures.

A heartbreaking incident has been reported from the Charkhari police station area in Mahoba district. In Rivai village, there was a pit located behind the local model school which had accumulated water. According to local authorities and police, three children went into this pit with the intention of bathing.

Unfortunately, the children were unable to gauge the depth of the water and drowned before they could reach safety. The news of this tragedy spread quickly, causing deep shock throughout the village. Upon learning about the accident, local residents immediately alerted the police.

Following the report, a team from the Charkhari police station reached the location promptly. The police initiated rescue efforts and successfully recovered the bodies of all three children from the water.

After securing the bodies, the police transported them via ambulance to the Community Health Center (CHC) in Charkhari. Medical staff at the facility examined the children upon arrival.

According to reports from Amar Ujala, the police are currently investigating the matter to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. This tragic accident has left the local community in mourning.

Following the event, the administration has urged residents to ensure that children stay away from open pits or waterlogged areas, as such spots can be extremely dangerous.

At present, the police have placed the bodies in the CHC and are continuing with the necessary legal formalities. The village remains in a state of grief, and the families of the victims are devastated by the loss.
