DM and Mayor inspect waterlogged areas in Lucknow following heavy rainfall
Following heavy rainfall in Lucknow, District Magistrate Vishak G. and the Mayor inspected the affected areas of the city. According to Amar Ujala, the officials assessed the waterlogging situation and instructed Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar to deploy pumps to drain the water and provide relief to the public.

According to reports from the Amar Ujala network, District Magistrate Vishak G. conducted an inspection of various parts of the city on Saturday. He was accompanied by Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar during the visit.
The officials specifically assessed the areas where the problem of waterlogging is most severe. The accumulation of water on the roads has also disrupted traffic flow across the city.
During the inspection, the District Magistrate issued strict instructions to the municipal corporation officials to improve drainage arrangements. He explicitly directed that pumps be deployed immediately in waterlogged areas to begin the water extraction process.
The primary objective of the administration is to ensure that citizens do not face any inconvenience due to the rain. Emphasis has also been placed on sanitation, as waterlogging poses a risk of spreading diseases.
Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar assured that the municipal corporation teams are fully prepared and that machinery is being utilized to drain the water. The situation in the affected areas is being monitored continuously.
The administration has also appealed to the public to exercise caution in waterlogged areas. Municipal corporation teams will remain deployed in the field until the situation returns to normal to ensure that drainage work is completed without any obstacles.
