September begins with heavy rain in Lucknow, waterlogging affects normal life in several areas

The month of September began with heavy rainfall in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. According to an Amar Ujala report, the rain started at 9 am on Tuesday, leading to waterlogging in various parts of the city. Thick black clouds covered the city from the morning, significantly impacting daily life and causing water accumulation in multiple localities.

The weather in Lucknow took a complete turn on the first day of September. According to a report by the Amar Ujala network, thick black clouds hovered over the capital from the morning, casting a dark shadow over the city. The rain, which began around 9 am, soon engulfed the entire city.

This downpour continued steadily for about two hours, leading to waterlogging in several low-lying areas of the city. Due to the heavy rain during the morning hours, people heading to offices and school children faced significant difficulties.

The report states that water accumulated on the roads, slowing down traffic movement. Pictures of waterlogging at several major intersections and residential areas have emerged, raising questions about the city's drainage system.

According to the weather department's forecast, while this rain at the beginning of September has provided relief from the heat, the issue of waterlogging has exposed the administration's preparations.

Local residents mentioned that the rain continued until 11 am, completely disrupting normal life. Reports of vehicles breaking down due to waterlogging were also received from several places.

Despite the claims made by the administration regarding water drainage, water accumulated in many parts of the city on the very first day of rain. According to the Amar Ujala report, waterlogging persisted in various areas of the city.

Currently, clouds remain over the city and people have been advised to stay alert. A drop in temperature has been recorded after the rain, making the weather pleasant, but the problem of waterlogging remains a cause of concern for the residents.
