Four constables suspended, two arrested for extorting money from bullion trader in Shahjahanpur
In Shahjahanpur, a major action has been taken after a bullion trader was extorted for two lakh rupees by constables who falsely accused him of being a smuggler. Following the victim's complaint, four constables have been suspended. A case has been registered against five individuals in total, and two of the constables have been arrested.

According to the Samvad News Agency, the victimized trader had complained to the police that some constables intimidated him by calling him a smuggler and extorted a large sum of money from him. After receiving the complaint, an investigation was conducted, and the allegations were found to be true.
A case has been registered against a total of five people, including four constables. Taking swift action, the police suspended all four constables with immediate effect. Additionally, two of the constables have been arrested and are currently being interrogated.
Since the incident, there has been widespread resentment among the traders in the area. The traders expressed that if the police, who are deployed for their protection, start extorting money, then where should the common man go? They have demanded strict legal action against all those involved in this case.
