Truck overturns into a ditch in Hathras while trying to save a cow; driver and cleaner injured

A road accident occurred late Wednesday night in the Chandpa police station area of Hathras district. A truck lost control and plunged into a deep ditch near the Santikara turn. The incident took place when the driver attempted to save a cow that had suddenly appeared on the road.

According to reports from the Amar Ujala network, the truck lost its balance due to the driver's sudden braking and steering maneuver. As a result, the vehicle veered off the road and overturned into the ditch. Upon receiving information about the accident, local residents and police reached the scene.

The driver and the cleaner of the truck were seriously injured in the crash. People involved in the rescue operation pulled them out of the vehicle and immediately transported them to the district hospital. Both are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital, where their condition is reported to be stable.

A large crowd gathered at the site following the accident. The police initiated the process of removing the truck from the ditch with the help of a crane. Traffic was briefly affected due to the incident, but it was later restored to normal.

Local residents noted that the Santikara turn is often prone to accidents due to stray animals. There have been ongoing demands for the administration to improve safety and animal management in the area.

The police have launched an investigation into the matter and have taken the truck into custody. The families of the injured have also been notified. According to doctors at the district hospital, the victims are being kept under observation after receiving initial treatment.
