IPL Governing Council: Arun Dhumal and Khairul Majumdar Set to be Elected Unopposed

According to a report from the sports desk of Amar Ujala in Mumbai, it is considered certain that Arun Dhumal will be elected unopposed as the Chairman and Khairul Jamal Majumdar as a member of the IPL Governing Council in the upcoming elections. The BCCI election officer has declared the nomination papers of both candidates valid after scrutiny.

The report states that following the nomination process, the withdrawal phase is currently underway. Candidates have until September 12 to withdraw their names. If no other candidates enter the fray, the unopposed selection of these two will be formally concluded.

The final decision regarding this process will be taken at the BCCI's Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for September 18. All formalities related to the election will be completed during this meeting.
