CCRAS holds 106th Internal Finance Committee meeting in Itanagar, focuses on research advancement

The 106th Internal Finance Committee meeting of the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) concluded at the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute in Itanagar. The meeting was chaired by Satyajit Paul, Senior Statistical Advisor, Ministry of AYUSH. The primary objective was to accelerate scientific research in Ayurveda and related sciences.

Prof. (Vaidya) Rabinarayan Acharya, Director General of CCRAS and Member Secretary of the committee, presented an overview of the council's key achievements and future priorities. A detailed review of ongoing research programs, infrastructure development, and institutional initiatives was conducted.

the committee emphasized that the benefits of research in the field of Ayurveda must reach the general public. It was decided to take concrete steps to make AYUSH-based healthcare services more effective and to improve their accessibility for the people.

Several senior officials from the Ministry of AYUSH and CCRAS participated in the meeting, including Dr. A. Raghu, Dr. Santosh Kumar Bhated, Dr. Vivekanandan Kalaiselvan, Amarendra Singh, Vijayalakshmi Bharadwaj, Deepak Kochar, and Dr. Pratap Makhija.

The chairman and members of the committee commended the progress made by CCRAS in the field of research and development. They praised the council's efforts in utilizing 100 percent of the allocated funds during the previous financial year.

The meeting concluded with a resolve to further strengthen scientific research. The committee stressed that research outcomes should be translated into meaningful benefits for public health.

According to the PIB release, a consensus was reached on strengthening institutional collaboration and implementing programs in a time-bound manner in the future. This meeting is considered a significant step in the field of Ayurveda research.
