Over 3,000 Students in Uttar Pradesh Sarvodaya Vidyalayas to Receive Vocational Training Under Project Praveen

The Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission has launched a new initiative for students in Sarvodaya Vidyalayas. During the 2026-27 financial year, more than 3,000 students will receive vocational training through 'Project Praveen'. The government has entrusted 31 different organizations with the responsibility of executing this training, aiming to equip students with job-oriented skills alongside their regular academic studies.

The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a significant step toward enhancing the future of students studying in Sarvodaya Vidyalayas. According to reports from Amar Ujala, these schools will now provide practical and job-oriented skills alongside traditional academic education. The primary objective of this initiative is to make the youth self-reliant and prepare them according to the demands of the modern job market.

The Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission has named this ambitious scheme 'Project Praveen'. A comprehensive action plan has been finalized for the 2026-27 financial year. The mission aims to select over 3,000 students from Sarvodaya Vidyalayas across the state to provide them with specialized vocational training.

To implement this training program effectively, the administration has completed all necessary preparations. Reports indicate that the Skill Development Mission has assigned this task to 31 different organizations. These institutions have been given clear targets to train the students, ensuring they complete their work within the stipulated timeframe.

This initiative could prove highly beneficial for students who seek employment opportunities after completing their school education. By receiving vocational training, they will not only gain technical proficiency but also see an increase in their overall confidence.

Through Project Praveen, the government intends to bridge the gap between education and skill sets. This will not only provide students with better career options but also increase the availability of a skilled workforce within the state.

Concerned officials believe that this training will enable students to face future challenges effectively. The Skill Development Mission will also monitor these 31 organizations to ensure the quality of the training remains high.

There is a possibility that the scope of this scheme may be expanded in the future. For now, the training provided to these 3,000-plus students in Sarvodaya Vidyalayas is set to add a new chapter to their academic lives.
