Fake medical college and university busted in Etah, five arrested including retired CMO's son

In Etah, Uttar Pradesh, police have uncovered a racket operating a fake medical college and university. The investigation began after a false report of a kidnapping for ransom, which led authorities to the educational scam. The gang had appointed a peon as faculty and extorted large sums from students. Five individuals, including the son of a retired Chief Medical Officer, have been arrested in connection with the case.

A shocking case has emerged in the Etah district of Uttar Pradesh, where a large racket was operating under the guise of a fake medical college and university to defraud students. After a thorough investigation, the Marhara police busted the gang and arrested five individuals.

The case came to light when police received a report regarding the kidnapping of a brother. The complainant had claimed that his brother was abducted for a ransom of two lakh rupees. When the police began a serious investigation into the matter, the kidnapping report turned out to be entirely fabricated.

During the investigation, the police discovered that the entire matter was not about a kidnapping but a major educational scam. The accused had set up a network of fake medical colleges and universities. They used to extort large sums of money from students in the name of providing admissions.

Police investigation also revealed that there were no arrangements for education in this fake college. The situation reached a point where the gang had appointed a peon as a faculty member of the college. In this manner, the future of students was being played with.

The name of a retired Chief Medical Officer's son has surfaced behind this entire scheme. According to the police, he was the main mastermind of the gang. He, along with his associates, had executed this fraud.

The police have taken all five accused into custody and are currently interrogating them. Officials stated that they are also searching for other individuals linked to this gang.

This incident points toward the scams operating in the education sector. The administration has appealed to students and parents to verify the recognition and validity of any institution before seeking admission.

Currently, the police are conducting a deep investigation into the entire network to determine how many students have been targeted by this gang so far.
