AIIMS Raipur is a symbol of Chhattisgarh's journey toward peace and progress: Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan
Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan stated at the AIIMS Raipur convocation that Chhattisgarh has moved past the shadow of Naxalism toward progress. He attributed this transformation to strong political will and development-oriented governance.
Addressing the third convocation of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Raipur, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan described the institution as a powerful symbol of Chhattisgarh's transformation. He noted that AIIMS Raipur has played a significant role in reducing regional disparities in medical education and healthcare services.
Reflecting on Chhattisgarh's past, the Vice President remarked that development was once hindered by Naxalism, poor connectivity, and geographical challenges. However, he stated that the state has now entered a new era of peace and prosperity. He credited this change to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the strategic policies of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the efforts of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
He observed that areas once known for violence are now seeing the development of schools, hospitals, and improved infrastructure. Praising the achievements of AIIMS Raipur, the Vice President highlighted the institute's success in complex medical procedures such as kidney and corneal transplants. He also expressed satisfaction over the approval of a heart transplant program.
During the convocation, the Vice President urged graduates to serve with dedication to protect the health and lives of citizens. He also expressed satisfaction regarding the increasing participation of women in higher education. During the event, he awarded gold medals and certificates to meritorious students.
The ceremony was attended by Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka, Union Minister of State Anupriya Patel, and other dignitaries. The Vice President emphasized that the vision of a developed India can only be realized through the balanced development of every state and village. He called upon the youth to stay away from drugs and contribute to building a better future for the nation.
