VVS Laxman to coach Indian cricket team for Asian Games, will tour Japan

The Indian men's cricket team is fully prepared to defend its gold medal in the upcoming Asian Games. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced changes to the coaching staff for this tournament. According to the Amar Ujala sports desk, legendary cricketer VVS Laxman will serve as the coach of the Indian team during the Asian Games.

The main reason for this change is the busy schedule of head coach Gautam Gambhir. Gambhir will be occupied with the team during the series against the West Indies, making him unavailable for the Asian Games. Consequently, this responsibility has been entrusted to Laxman.

Other experienced names will also be part of the coaching staff alongside VVS Laxman. Sunil Joshi, Hrishikesh Kanitkar, and Subhadeep Ghosh will assist Laxman. This entire coaching team will prepare the squad to perform at their best in the Asian Games.

The Indian team aims to win the gold medal once again in the Asian Games. Given their previous performance, there is significant pressure and high expectations on the team. Laxman's experience could prove to be very helpful for the younger players.

The presence of these experienced figures in the coaching staff will boost the team's morale. Laxman and his team will work on the players' techniques and strategies to ensure they can give their best in the games held in Japan.

Cricket in the Asian Games always generates a lot of excitement. This is a great opportunity for the Indian team to prove their superiority on the international stage.

The BCCI has made all the necessary preparations for this tour. Under the leadership of VVS Laxman, the Indian team will travel to Japan and strive to achieve their goal of winning the gold medal.
