Rahul and Priyanka quiz AICC secretaries at party headquarters, many leaders struggle to answer

The top leadership of the Congress party has taken a significant step towards strengthening its organizational structure. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra conducted an important meeting with 64 AICC secretaries. During this session, they questioned the secretaries directly to understand the party's operations and the situation on the ground.

During the meeting, both senior Congress leaders sought detailed information from the secretaries regarding their respective states. They asked them to identify the biggest shortcoming of the party in their regions. Furthermore, they requested the secretaries to name the five most effective party workers in their states.

To test the functional knowledge of the organization, they also asked the secretaries to name three top AICC officials. About five to six pointed questions were asked, aimed at testing the activity levels and ground-level knowledge of the secretaries.

According to Aaj Tak reports, many secretaries failed to provide correct answers during this evaluation process. More than half of the secretaries struggled with these basic questions, which naturally increases the concerns of the party leadership.

This meeting was held at 10 Janpath, which is considered the hub of Congress's strategic activities. This exercise is being viewed as an attempt to establish discipline and accountability within the party.

Party sources believe that this approach by Rahul and Priyanka signals a change within the organization. They want officials to not just hold positions but to possess complete information about their respective areas.

In the coming times, more such evaluations might be conducted to sharpen the party's electoral preparations. The possibility of future organizational reshuffles based on the performance of these secretaries cannot be ruled out.
